SLA printing
SLA (Stereolithography) 3D printing is an additive manufacturing technique that uses a UV laser to polymerize and solidify a photosensitive liquid resin layer by layer. This process begins by submerging a platform into a vat of resin. The laser, directed by computer-controlled mirrors, traces the outline of the part onto the resin surface, hardening the material to form a solid layer.
3D printing by sintering
Selective laser sintering (SLS) 3D printing is an additive manufacturing technique that uses a laser to sinter particles of material—typically plastic, metal, or ceramic—into a solid object, layer by layer. The process begins with a thin layer of powder spread on a platform. The laser selectively heats the areas of the powder where the part is to be formed, bonding the particles together.
